I have two ‘children’ which seem to take up the majority of free time that I find. Skordo Roethlis Burger-Payne is a year old, pure bred Doberman Pinscher. He is truly the sweetest thing in the world, and for a Doberman, a complete wimp. The name Skordo means garlic in Greek, as an homage to my Greek heritage (clearly on my mother’s side…Burger, yes, very German). His middle name is truly a bit of humor. It was either Roethlis or Cheese. Roethlis was deemed to be a bit more original.
My other ‘baby’, my first born, is a three year old, black, short-hair house cat, Olive Dæmon Burger. For those that have read The Golden Compass, you will understand why her middle name is Dæmon.
